The Company specializes in three yarn verticals– polyester filament yarn, cotton yarn, and yarn for technical textiles and industrial applications, announced its unaudited financial results for the third quarter and nine months ending on December 31st, 2024.

The company also announced the nomination of Mr. Khurshed Thanawalla as the Independent Director on the Board of Sanathan Polycot Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.

Financial Highlights: –

For the nine months ended December 31st, 2024:

  •  Revenue from Operations stood at Rs. 2266.43 crore in 9M FY25 as against Rs. 2201.37 in 9M FY24, led by higher sales volume
  •  EBITDA for the 9M FY25 stood at Rs. 195.17 crores as against Rs. 147.48 crores in 9M FY24, on account of higher volumes and better margins.
  •  9M FY25 PAT stood at Rs. 116.80 crores against PAT of Rs. 81.59 crores in 9M FY24.

Appointment of Independent Director:

Mr. Thanawalla brings extensive experience in the textiles industry and will be a valuable addition to the Board of Sanathan Polycot.

Mr. Khurshed Thanawalla was a member of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, London, and is a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Corby, United Kingdom. With over 40 years of experience in the textiles industry, he retired as Country Head – India for Oerlikon Barmag in 2016. He served as Managing Director from 1985 to 2016 and as Chairman of Oerlikon Textile India Private Limited until 2021.

IFMR and the Government of Meghalaya sign MOU to Enhance Data Systems, Foster Innovation and drive policy implementation

Sri City, February 11, 2025IFMR and Krea University hosted Synergy 2025, an annual flagship event designed to bring together leading academics, policymakers, and industry leaders to shape data-driven solutions for pressing developmental challenges. Through interdisciplinary dialogue, the event catalyzed action to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthen governance mechanisms in India.

Speaking at the inaugural session, Krea University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nirmala Rao, noted that “Synergy is a unique platform for the academic community to engage, debate, and critically analyze some of the most pressing issues in development, focusing on solutions and action.”

A key highlight of the event was the inaugural N Vaghul Memorial Lecture, honouring the legacy of the late Shri Narayanan Vaghul. Delivering the inaugural lecture, Mr. S. Krishnan, Secretary, of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, highlighted the transformative impact of AI and the tectonic shifts in this space. He emphasized the role of foundational research and evidence in developing inclusive AI solutions rooted in the country’s linguistic and cultural diversity.

Bata India Announces Q3 Results Sustains Growth with Operational Efficiency

Mumbai, February 11, 2025: Footwear major Bata India Limited today announced results for the quarter ended December 31, 2024. Revenue from operations for the quarter stood at Rs. 9185 million, a volume led revenue growth, an increase of 1.7% over Rs. 9035 million for Q3FY24. EBIDTA stood at Rs. 2087 million, showcasing consistent efficiency improvements through strategic initiatives. The EBIDTA margin expanded by 141 bps, resulting in a PAT of Rs. 582 million. The results for the quarter also include a one-time exceptional expenditure of Rs. 108 million towards VRS in our factory – consistent with our long-term strategy towards building capability, agility and efficiency in our supply chain.

Speaking on the Q3FY25 performance, Gunjan Shah, MD and CEO – Bata India Limited, stated:

“We continue to focus on our portfolio to attract new customers. To foster ease of choices for customers, we are driving affordability and reducing complexity across categories. On account of these initiatives, we are seeing significant volume growth after a long time. We also took benefit of the prolonged End of Season Sales to reduce ageing.
