Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India – Match 05, 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) inaugurated the prestigious International Conference on ‘Space for Sustainability: Science, Technology, Education, and Policy’ (S²-STEP2025) alongside the 6th Indian Planetary Science Conference (IPSC-2025) . The conference was inaugurated by Dr. V. Narayanan, Chairman, ISRO & Secretary, Department of Space (DoS) , as the Chief Guest , and Dr. Young Ho Kim, Director, India Korea Center for Research and Innovation (IKCRI) , as the Guest of Honor . Prof. KK Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee , presided over the event.
In his keynote address, Dr. V. Narayanan, Chairman, ISRO & Secretary, Department of Space (DoS) emphasized, “The future of space exploration hinges on sustainable and responsible practices. India is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies that will drive our planetary missions and deep-space explorations.”

IIIT-Bangalore’s Infin8 2025 Concludes with Success
Bangalore, February 24, 2025: The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) hosted its much-anticipated annual inter-college cultural fest, Infin8 from February 7-9, 2025, bringing together over 200 participants from 20+ colleges in a vibrant celebration of talent and creativity. This year’s edition, themed “Odyssey Osaka”, a fusion of the traditional Japanese culture and modernized ideas, turned the campus into a vibrant hub of cultural exchange and artistic expression.
Spanning three electrifying days, Infin8 2025 featured an array of performances, competitions, and engaging activities. More than 700 students from 21 colleges participated in 26 diverse events, ranging from singing, dance, photography, acting, quizzes, ramp shows, poetry, and video games. New Activa: New Colours and Advanced Features
The updated Activa gets several mechanical updates, designed to meet the upcoming regulations, and elevate the riding experience of customers. At its heart is a 109.51cc, single-cylinder PGM-Fi engine that is now OBD2B compliant. It develops 5.88 kW of power at 8,000 RPM and 9.05 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 RPM. It is also equipped with Idling stop system to enhance fuel efficiency.
In terms of features, the Activa sports a new 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. It is compatible with Honda RoadSync app, enabling functions like navigation and call/message alerts, allowing riders to stay connected even while on the move. The Activa is now also equipped with a USB Type-C charging port, ensuring convenience for riders to charge their devices on the go.
The Activa retains its iconic silhouette and now gets alloy wheels even for the DLX variant apart from the top-spec H-Smart one, further enhancing its visual appeal.
