For generations, Indian families have offered dahi-cheeni before exams, interviews, and other important milestones, believing it brings good luck and confidence. By taking this ritual to exam centresInstamart sought to recreate a small moment of comfort and encouragement for students on a high-pressure day.

At the heart of the initiative was a branded van styled as the “OPD” – Official Pre-Exam Dahi-Cheeni. Students were handed specially packed kits containing a bowl of dahi, a sachet of cheeni, and a message wishing them luck, before they entered their examination centres. The van welcomed aspirants with the line, “Welcome to the OPD” while each box carried the message, “All the best, future doc!” Alongside the van, a selfie mirror invited students to pause for a moment before entering the exam hall. Featuring the message, “You’ve got this, future doc”. The installation gave aspiring doctors a chance to picture themselves on the other side of the exam.

The initiative quickly gained traction on social media, with many students and parents appreciating the thoughtful gesture. Photos and videos of volunteers distributing dahi-cheeni outside examination centres circulated online, highlighting a blend of tradition, community support, and brand engagement.
One Instagram user said, “Not all heroes wear capes, some distribute dahi cheeni outside NEET centres”, while another user said, “No way they opened an OPD outside the NEET centre – Official Pre Exam Dahi & Cheeni Centre”
By bringing together tradition, encouragement, and a touch of creativity, Instamart turned a familiar good-luck ritual into a memorable moment for the country’s future doctors.
NEET remains one of India’s most fiercely contested examinations, drawing aspirants from across the country and making the days leading up to the most anticipated entrance examinations for students and their families alike. The activation is part of Instamart‘s ongoing effort to show up for life’s small, high-stakes moments, this time turning a quick commerce delivery into a good-luck charm for the country’s future doctors.
