India has made strong progress in electric mobility, but the next phase must focus on intelligence, not just installation. As EVs and energy storage scale, reliability, safety, and lifecycle performance will define success.
From our experience across EV fleets and battery systems, nearly 15–25% of operational issues arise after deployment due to the absence of real-time battery intelligence. This results in higher downtime, safety risks, and premature battery replacement, increasing overall costs. The upcoming Union Budget is expected to place equal emphasis on battery intelligence and physical assets by supporting diagnostics, State of Health analytics, and early-fault detection. This approach will reduce lifecycle costs, extend battery life, and enhance the long-term returns from India’s clean energy investments.
