Kochi: Lanstitut, a healthcare employability startup based in Kerala, has been selected for the prestigious “Business with Germany” programme. Supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the programme helps promote international trade and business cooperation.

Lanstitut is the only startup from Kerala to be chosen for this year’s edition. Founded in 2022 by Khubaib Abdul Salam, Abdul Vahid, Murshid Ibinu Rahman, and Yasin Bin Saleem, the company helps Indian healthcare professionals find jobs abroad. Its services include language training, certification support, and cultural orientation, making it easier for professionals to work in countries like Germany, the US, Japan, Italy, and those in the GCC.

“This opportunity will help us expand globally and strengthen our mission to connect skilled professionals with growing healthcare markets,” said Khubaib Abdul Salam, CEO of Lanstitut.

Germany, which is expected to face a shortage of over 700,000 nurses by 2030, is a key market for the startup. Being part of the programme will give Lanstitut access to German healthcare institutions, business networks, and expert guidance.

Officials from the programme noted that Lanstitut’s focus on training, cultural readiness, and job placement aligns well with Germany’s healthcare needs.

Lanstitut says its model benefits both professionals and employers—offering better pay and work conditions to candidates, while helping hospitals fill vacancies quickly. The startup also plans to include sustainable and climate-friendly practices as it expands.

The selection is seen as a recognition of Indian startups that are solving real-world challenges with global impact.
