Sep 29: Kannada Zee 5 is set to bring audiences a riotous mix of crime, chaos and family emotions with the post-theatrical premiere of Mother Promise on 2nd October. Set against a fictionalised Bengaluru, the Kannada dark-comedy gangster drama follows a hapless gambler whose life spirals into chaos after he loses everything, setting off a frantic chase involving powerful dons, smugglers, misfits and, unexpectedly, his own mother.
Starring Dhananjaya,Poornachandra Mysore, Chi Guru Dutt, Nagabhushana N S, Vinaya Prasad, Geeta, Mahadev Prasad, Naresh Dingri and Shrivatsa Shyam, among others, Mother Promise brings together an eccentric ensemble of characters caught in a web of gangster rivalries, absurd situations and unexpected alliances. At the centre of the chaos is Rossi, a quirky gambler who finds himself on the run after losing everything, with rival gangs and dangerous underworld figures closing in around him.
Blending gangster antics, dark humour and heartfelt family emotions, Mother Promise explores themes of responsibility, loyalty and the lengths one can go to keep a promise.
