Enrission India Capital Invests in Digital Freight Broker Raaho

BusinessK Puspa29 Oct 2026

Gurugram, Oct 29: India's 4.6-billion-tonne freight economy runs on a broker system built for a cash-and-phone-call era. Enrission India Capital is betting that Raaho, a technology platform quietly digitising this fragmented world, is positioned to change that. ENRISSION INDIA CAPITAL today announced its investment in Raaho in the company's latest funding round, with the round size undisclosed.

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Gurugram, Raaho connects logistics companies with truck owners through a technology platform that replaces the traditional offline broker model with digital matching, verification and settlement. The company is currently growing at approximately 50 per cent year-on-year, with trip volumes up around 75 per cent, and recorded its first full year of profitability in FY26, now operating across 20 cities, a rare mark of capital efficiency in a sector where several well-funded players have struggled to build sustainable businesses.

ENRISSION INDIA CAPITAL's investment will support three priorities at Raaho: expanding its footprint from 20 to 25 cities, entering the open-truck category as an adjacency to its existing container-truck business, and deepening investment in people and technology to build Raaho into an AI-first company across load matching, pricing, document processing and customer interactions.

The partnership underscores growing Japanese investor interest in India's logistics-technology sector. Both teams noted a shared view that intercity road transportation represents the next major frontier for technology-led transformation in India.

Commenting on the investment, Harsh Deodhar, Principal, Enrission India Capital, said,

"We invest where scale meets structural inefficiency, and India's trucking ecosystem is one of the starkest examples of that combination. It moves nearly 70 per cent of the country's freight, yet more than 85 per cent of that market is run by owner-operators with fewer than 10 trucks, largely offline and relationship-driven. That gap is exactly where we look to deploy capital. What convinced us on Raaho specifically is that it isn't trying to solve this with technology alone; it pairs digital matching with an on-ground operations layer that understands how trucking actually works in India. Combined with a genuinely profitable, capital-efficient business, that made this an easy decision for us."

Md. Imthiaz, Co-founder and CEO, Raaho, added,

"The traditional broker's advantage was never relationships. It was cash, information and access, and technology has taken all three away. What remains is a matching problem, and that is what Raaho solves. We are delighted to welcome ENRISSION INDIA CAPITAL on board. This is a strong validation of the asset-light, profitable model we have built. Their backing gives us the confidence and resources to take Raaho to more cities, new truck categories, and deeper into AI, while staying true to the discipline that has defined us since day one."
