BADSHAH DELIVERS EMOTIONAL TRIBUTE TO PUNJAB AT HIS ONGOING USA TOUR

Punjab,16 september 2025:Leading music artist Badshah has issued a commanding statement of support for Punjab as the state grapples with its worst flood crisis in nearly four decades. During his live concert in the Bay Area’s Oakland as part of his multi-city Unfinished Tour, he delivered a powerful tribute to Punjab, which is currently battling the devastating effects of heavy floods. His words carried deep emotion, transforming the performance into a moment of unity and resilience.

Speaking directly to his millions of followers, the artist declared his unwavering faith in Punjab’s eternal optimism, praising the sacred principle of Chardikala that has sustained the region through countless challenges throughout history. With passion in his voice, he reminded the audience of Punjab’s history and courage, saying: “Itihass To Puchlo Dasduga… Punjab Kihde Naal Banya.”

He further expressed the strength of Punjabis in Hindi, stating that even if they fall, they will always rise again. He said: “Girkar Uthhte Hai… Uthenge… Kal Honsla Jabardast Hoga. Chardikala Kya Hai Mere Dost… Kehkar Nahin, Karkar Dikhayenge.” His lines reflected the true meaning of resilience, faith, and action.

Badshah also shared a realistic perspective, acknowledging that Punjab may take one to two years to fully stand again. But with determination, he emphasized that Punjabis will rise, and “we will stand together.”

He emphasized, “This is the spirit that makes Punjab eternal. No matter how deep the waters rise, our people’s courage runs deeper. The farmers who feed our nation deserve nothing less than our complete support, and Punjab’s Chardikala will see us through this crisis stronger than before.”

The devastating floods, triggered by unprecedented monsoon rains in the upper catchment areas, have affected more than 1,900 villages and claimed over 43 lives, making this Punjab’s most severe natural disaster since 1988. Standing crop on 4.30 lakh acres of farmland has been destroyed, threatening the livelihoods of thousands of farming families who form the backbone of Punjab’s agricultural economy.

Born to a Haryanvi father and Punjabi mother, the singer-songwriter, rapper and music producer’s deep-rooted connection to the region’s cultural fabric adds profound authenticity to his solidarity message.
