The festival promises an immersive experience of Gujarat’s Navratri in its purest form, with authentic Garba performances led by Geeta Jhala & Band, accompanied by live dhol and folk musicians. Special evenings will feature Shri Indresh Upadhyay, Bollywood maestros Salim–Sulaiman, and Padma Shri Ustad Anwar Khan Manganiyar & Group. Visitors will also experience handloom and handicraft showcases by master artisans, curated Gujarati food pavilions, and interactive cultural exchanges, making the festival a vibrant confluence of tradition, diplomacy, and global partnerships.

Esteemed diplomats and dignitaries, including 30–40 ambassadors from across the world, are expected to attend, underscoring the festival’s commitment to international cultural exchange. The event carries special symbolic value — Garba of Gujarat was inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in December 2023, as the 15th Indian element to join the prestigious list. Recognized as a vibrant, participatory community event rooted in Navratri’s celebration of feminine energy and unity, Garba now comes to Sunder Nursery, itself a UNESCO-listed heritage site, beautifully connecting two icons of cultural preservation.

Speaking about the event, Ms. Shivani Datta, Director, Fusion Sphere Media & Concepts Limited, said:“The Global Garba Festival is more than a celebration — it is a cultural dialogue. By bringing together tradition, tourism, diplomacy, and community, we are creating a global platform where Delhi becomes the stage and Gujarat remains the soul. Garba has moved from Gujarat to the international stage, and now the national capital, Delhi, will also experience the authentic Garba for the very first time. This is not just an event, but a cultural bridge that celebrates India’s heritage while offering audiences an authentic, immersive experience.”

The festival, organised in partnership with Gujarat Tourism and supported by Delhi Tourism and the Global Tourism Forum, honours the timeless traditions of Gujarat’s Navratri by blending music, dance, crafts, and food on a global stage while fostering cultural diplomacy through the participation of dignitaries, ambassadors, global cultural forums, and art enthusiasts.
