New Delhi, 15 September 2025: The three-day FSIE Fire & Security India Expo 2025 in its eighth edition concluded successfully at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi today. The closing day witnessed eye-opening panel discussions with focus on the future of fire safety, the evolution of safety technology, collaborative strategies in the fire and security industry in India.
The first panel discussion of the day was titled ‘Time For Security To Evolve – Future Wants More’ moderated by Captain Gurpawan Singh – President, IIRIS Consulting. The key panellists were Maj. Gaurav Bajetha – VP & Head, Global Workplace-Trust & Safety; Maj. Gen Jagatbir Singh, VSM (Retd) Distinguish Fellow USI & Editor Salute – United Services Institution; Capt. Shakil Ahmed – CXO Organisation Resilience, Real Estate & Workplace Services – Gameskraft; Wg CDR Sonika Tanwar (Veteran) Cyber Security Leader – Digitruce.
This was followed by a panel discussion on ‘Zero Accidents’ which was moderated by Mr. Srinivas Valluri – National President, FSAI; Mr. Avinish Nayyar – Associate Director, Sunil Nayyar Consultants; Mr. N V Subba Rao – Senior Advisor, Cholamandalam MS Risk Services; Mr. Rajkiran V Bilolikar – Director & Professor – Centre for Energy Studies (CES) Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI); Ms. Shruti Goel – Director, Proion Consultants.
‘Collaborative Strategies For Integrating Fire & Security Infrastructure In The New Smart Developments’ was the third panel discussion wherein key insights were given by esteemed panellists Mr. Ashwin Ijantkar – Director, Epsilon Design Consultancy; Mr. Girish Zalke – Chief Fire Office, Thane Municipal Corporation; Mr. Kiran Hatyal – Asst. Director, Maharashtra Fire Services; Mr. Moreshwar Kudkilwar – Deputy Fire Advisor, Fire Services, Civil Defence & Home Guards Ministry of Home Affairs Govt. of India; Mr. Prashanth Gururaj – Technical Director, Fire & Life Safety, Designtree Consultants; and Maj. Prakash Kapade – Lead Technical Consultant & Auditor, Safety Security & Instrumentation Engineering Solutions wherein the panel was moderated by Mr. Ashish Rakheja – Managing Partner, Aeon Integrated Building Design Consultants.
The final panel discussion was on ‘Building Confidence Through Code – NBC and the Future of Fire Safety’ by esteemed panellists viz., Mr. Prashant Mahajan – Director, Design & Projects, RSP Design Consultants; Mr. Sandeep Geol – Director, Proion Consultants; Mr. Shamit Manchanda – Founding Partner & Principal Architect – Manchanda Associates and moderated by Mr. Arun Kumar Sarvanan – Director, Civil Engineering & Head NBC Unit, Bureau of Indian Standards threw light on the road ahead for fire safety in the country.
