Gurgaon: Lavika Sethi, a student of 8th standard and Mannat Kaur, a student of 9th standard of KIIT World School, Sohna Road, have been selected under the INSPIRE Award- MANAK Scheme.
Under this, student Lavika has designed a special cooling pad called ‘Coolcap’, which can be installed inside the helmet. It will provide coolness and comfort to two-wheeler riders in summer. It includes advanced cooling material and heat-blocking technology, which will reduce the risk of heat stroke and motivate people to wear helmets, which will also increase road safety.
At the same time, Mannat’s project ‘Safe Bracelet’ is a smart safety device designed for people of all ages. It provides immediate assistance in emergency situations, which will make people feel more secure and quick response will be possible in times of crisis.
Under the Inspire Manak Yojana, Rs 10,000 is credited to the accounts of selected students so that they can prepare prototypes of their innovative ideas. From these prototypes, about 1000 students are selected at the state level, who get the opportunity to further develop their projects.
