KLK Ventures Commends PM-KUSUM Initiative with Major Solarization Deal in J&K

Delhi, 11 March 2025  – KLK Ventures Private Limited, a leader in sustainable energy solutions, has been awarded a significant contract under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme (Component-C). This contract, sanctioned by the Jammu & Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA), involves the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive maintenance of Grid-Connected Solar PV Systems for the solarization of 4,000 existing individual agricultural pumps across the Union Territory.

The project, valued at INR 140 crore, aims to enhance energy access for farmers by integrating renewable energy sources into their agricultural operations. KLK Ventures will deploy solar PV systems with capacities ranging from 1 kWp to 30 kWp, along with Solar Variable Frequency Drives (SVFD) and other allied equipment. The initiative seeks to reduce farmers’ dependence on conventional power sources while promoting sustainability and cost savings in the agricultural sector.

The PM-KUSUM scheme, launched by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), is designed to empower farmers by ensuring reliable and affordable electricity through solar energy. Under this project, KLK Ventures will be responsible for end-to-end execution, including survey, installation, grid connectivity under approved mechanisms (Net/Gross Metering), performance testing, and a comprehensive five-year operation and maintenance plan.

Additionally, the project scope includes the provision of bi-directional net/gross meters, remote performance monitoring systems, civil foundation work, and necessary liaising with DISCOMs and electrical inspectors to ensure seamless implementation.

Growth in Hybrid Mobility: Yamaha Launches India’s First 150cc Hybrid Bike

Bengaluru, 11th March 2025: India Yamaha Motor (IYM) today announced the introduction of its first-ever[1] hybrid motorcycle, the 2025 ‘FZ-S Fi Hybrid’, priced at INR 1,44,800 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid embodies a total balanced and sophisticated design, further refined by the sharper edges on the tank cover and giving it a sleek and well-proportioned look while retaining its signature presence. A key design update includes integrated front turn signals, now positioned within the air intake area, adding to its aggressive and aerodynamic appeal.

Powering the motorcycle is a 149cc Blue Core engine, now OBD-2B compliant, equipped with Yamaha’s Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS). These technologies provide quieter starts, battery-assisted acceleration, and improved fuel efficiency by automatically shutting off the engine at idle and restarting with a quick clutch action.

Further enhancing rider convenience, the new ‘FZ-S Fi Hybrid introduces a 4.2-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster that seamlessly integrates with smartphones via the Y-Connect app. It features Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation linked to Google Maps, offering real-time directions, navigation index, intersection details, and road names, ensuring a hassle-free riding experience.

The handlebar position has been optimized for greater comfort on long rides. The switches on the handlebar have been adjusted for better accessibility, even when wearing gloves. Digitization in Public Health: University of Tasmania Opens Doors for MPH Applicants

March 11, 2025: The University of Tasmania (UTAS), is now inviting applications for its Master of Public Health program for 2025.

The course Master of Public Health provided by the University of Tasmania, will offer a student to be to change their community. They will hone their systemic thinking skills and gain confidence in navigating the interaction between research policy and practice. In both domestic and international circumstances, a student will gain the ability to plan, carry out, and assess intricate evidence-based policy and practice interventions.

The design of interventions to prevent or lessen the burden of disease and disability, epidemiological monitoring, health promotion, health systems planning and administration, and evidence-based public health practice will all be covered in this course. In addition, environmental health, health economics, non-communicable illness prevention, and communicable disease epidemiology are covered in the course. Those who work in the health sector and those who wish to pursue a career in public health will find the Master of Public Health course equally relevant.

Program Delivery: The postgraduate program is provided full-time in English for two years. In the first year of the Master of Public Health program, students will learn about global health systems, public health intervention practice, health research, and systems thinking to earn a globally acknowledged degree. In the second year, the students gain specific knowledge in the fields of health economics, communicable disease epidemiology, environmental health, and noncommunicable disease prevention. Additionally, they will have the option of finishing elective coursework units or working on a solo research project under the guidance of a subject-matter expert, which may serve as a springboard for a PhD.

The MPH curriculum is benchmarked against competency standards articulated by the Council of Public Health Institutions in Australasia (CAPHIA). There is currently no professional accreditation required for public health tertiary qualifications.

Entry Requirements: The majority of the University of Tasmania’s postgraduate courses require credentials equal to an Australian bachelor’s degree to be admitted. For applicants to be eligible for an offer, they must meet the English language criteria, obtain the necessary grades in their qualifying studies, and pass any preparatory courses.
